What Akin is

Akin is a free discovery tool. It suggests Australian specialty coffees that sit in a similar taste zone to a coffee you tell us you liked, and links you to the roaster's own store. Akin does not sell coffee, process payments, ship anything, or hold inventory. Any purchase happens on the roaster's site under the roaster's terms.

No taste guarantees

Taste is personal and coffee is variable. Match scores and reasons describe similar taste zones based on structured data; they are honest estimates, not guarantees that you will like a coffee. Stock status and prices are checked periodically and can be out of date - the roaster's site is always the source of truth.

Fair use

• Do not abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service.
• Do not submit false roaster claims or misleading correction requests.
• Automated scraping of Akin requires written permission.

Roaster content and removal

Coffee and roaster details are indexed from public roaster websites with care. Trademarks and product names belong to their owners. Any roaster can request removal at rafaelvonhellmann@gmail.com and will exit the index entirely. Sponsored or affiliate placements, if ever introduced, will be clearly labelled and will never change organic match rankings.

Liability

Akin is provided as-is, free of charge, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by Australian law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Akin is not responsible for the content, availability, or fulfilment of roaster websites it links to.
